oreka kids

A collection of kids furniture art directed by Simon Maidment and Michael Marriott. I was invited by Simon and Michael in 1999 to design a piece of kids furniture for a collection called 'biscuit'. My design was called 'Shortcake' (after a well known biscuit). Shortcake is a small reversible bench that acts as a vehicle for playing games. The drilled holes and wooden rods provided give kids the opportunity to transform their bench by adding wheels, oars, sails, signs etc. Available at from Oreka Kids.
